After 10 years of living in New York City and working as a Director at Kasmin Gallery, I moved to Mexico City as an independent curator, artist liaison and project manager. Since arriving in 2023, I've had the opportunity to work on exhibitions at Museo Anahuacalli, MASA Galería, and Casa Wabi alongside artists including but not limited to Alma Allen, Sarah Crowner, and Adeline de Monseignat. My work now focuses on supporting artists directly through advising and liaising within the studios. I
HOW DO YOU EMBRACE DIVERSITY AND/OR UNCONVENTIONALITY?
Traveling and living abroad allows me to explore cultures full heartedly. Hermanas has been my go to space to find house shares, events and engage with local cultures. I find that through learning languages, exploring new healing traditions and engaging with creatives is the best way to expand my perspectives and understanding of the world around me.
HOW DO YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF CREATIVELY?
I've worked in the fine arts for the last decade while based in New York City. My previous job allowed me to work with artists and institutions globally. I have a personal ceramic and dance practice that I enjoy continuing through my travels - most recently based in Mexico City.
HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY? WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU ARE AN EXPERT IN AND COULD GIVE ADVICE TO THE COMMUNITY ON?
I would like to offer my experience in the arts to local and younger generation of creatives. I've been acting as an artist liaison and advisor to friends for years and within the last year, I quite my director position and set out as an independent within my field. My work now focuses on direct advising to artists (vs. galleries) and connecting them with advocates at large (curators, collectors, writers).
